Team Invictus is all Go! Green light for sailing!

To some of you it may look like the team disappeared for a while... but fear not! As we are definitely still pushing along!

The past few months have been a bit difficult as the team has suffered from a lack of sufficient facilities to carry out the necessary repairs. It's taken us a while but we are now back on track. the boat is ready to hit the water again, bar a couple of tiny tweaks. The flap is repaired, though it will need to be handled with care... We have new control horns at both ends and some repairs to our lower control rib. That's a few more weakness identified and ironed out.

Obviously we are now deep into winter weather and the wind has been blowing a bit too hard over here. So we are being patient. This does not mean the team has been resting. We have been slowly getting ready for some winter upgrades. A new element 2 and a new flap are on the plan for the next few months. Hopefully we can get one day of sailing soon so as to check a few of the mods before they become more permanent.

The team has also recently received some good news in the form of a renewed support from Airbus! This means there is a bit of cash coming our way and hopefully a new workshop... This should be enough to see us up to the race next year! It is a major step forward for the team and certainly a well needed boost for all of us!

So be prepared to hear more from us and see us out there more and more next year! In the mean time, if you want to know more, have any burning questions, want to help, get involved or simply show your support, don't hesitate to contact us! Yes a C Class campaign can be painful to run but believe me, it is also rewarding and all up well worth the effort! That's what keeps the team going!

Cheers,
Juls.
